WE'RE FUNDED! First stretch goal announced!

I am awestruck and a little teary. Today, 3 short days after launching, we reached our initial campaign goal. Now, I am thrilled to announce our first stretch goal of $6000 (the initial funding goal + $4800), which would cover the production of an audiobook narrated by Wolf359 alum Emma Sherr-Ziarko. (Those who are familiar with audiobook production know what a huge favor Emma is doing us by helping us produce within this budget!)

Emma recorded a sample chapter of A Sundered Throne, which I've attached here as a video. I'm also including Vidanit's concept artwork, as this chapter is from her point of view!

First, we are over 2/3 of the way to our goal - thank you so much. It makes me a bit teary, honestly (in the good way!).

Second, one backer reported having trouble with add-ons. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Incredible first day! (And your first character profile!)

Hello to everyone!

It's been an amazing first few hours, so thank you SO much!

I'd like you to meet Saramyn. She's the first character we meet in A Sundered Throne, and one of the most delightfully human characters I've ever written. For her theme, I've chosen "Convergence" by Audiomachine - it beautifully captures her hope, determination, and the breadth of the power she now wields! You can listen to it below.

Excerpt:

Patornys hesitated. “The closer two souls are—any two souls—and the better they understand one another…the easier it is for either one to triumph.”

“He was right. The archmagus.” Saramyn was shivering now. “Binding it was just the first test. It killed all but one of us at the summoning, and that was the easiest part. Wasn’t it?”

Patornys said nothing.

“Has anyone failed at this?” Saramyn demanded. “After the binding, have they failed this part?”

Silence.

“What happens then?” Saramyn whispered after a moment.

He did not answer, and that was answer enough.
