$2000+ & announcing partnerships!

We are past $2000, and I cannot thank you all enough!

A couple of admin notes before the exciting part of the update:

• If you are having trouble with add ons: there will be an opportunity to resolve this during the backer survey at the end of the campaign. However, feel free to email me about this at [email protected] and I will be happy to go to bat with Kickstarter for you!
• If you know anyone you think would enjoy A Sundered Throne: pass along the link! Telling your friends about books you love is one of the single most important things you can do for an author <3

Now for the excitement!

As you know, the audiobook will feature the lovely and amazingly-talented Emma Sherr-Ziarko. As this is a multi-POV book, other audiobook narrators have been approached, and I hope to have news on that front soon.

Meanwhile, because a narrator is only one part of an audiobook, I will be partnering with Leonardo Audio for the audiobook production if we fund the stretch goal! I have been lucky enough to work with Chris Ciulla on other projects, and am glad to have his expertise on hand to make this audiobook the very best it can be.

But wait! There's more!

Have you ever been reading a book, playing a game, or watching a movie, and thought, "I wonder what wine would pair best with this?" Well, you won't have to wonder when it comes to A Sundered Throne. As aficionados of the Pairing Podcast know, it is taking a hiatus after its 100th episode...but A Sundered Throne has snagged one of the last slots! The episode airs this weekend on all podcast platforms :)

"Rewards is invalid"

I got a message this morning from a friend who had received the follow, beautifully worded error message:

...Sure.

Armed with the knowledge that something was wrong with the Omnibus add-on, I went to investigate, and found the problem: Kickstarter was worried that my delivery date of December 2022 would be impossible to meet, because apparently December 2022 is in the past.

...Sure.

Through trial and error, I have found that November 2023 is not in the past, and therefore have set the delivery for the Omnibus to that month.

Long story short? You can now add the Omnibus if you want to, but I will not be telling you anything about the coming year and a half. It could cause a critical distortion in the time flow, you see.

Progress update - and other projects for your consideration!

Well, we lost one backer overnight, so KickTraq now lists us as coming in JUST under the wire for the audiobook goal, if trends remain consistent. I don't want that to happen. This audiobook is going to be TOO GOOD.

I'm sitting down with a cup of coffee and my devious little brain to figure out where to go next.

Stretch goal - now with functional video! (Whee!)

(Sorry for the non-functional video - second time's the charm? LET'S TRY THIS AGAIN. Ahem.)

I am awestruck and a little teary. Today, 3 short days after launching, we reached our initial campaign goal. Now, I am thrilled to announce our first stretch goal of $6000 (the initial funding goal + $4800), which would cover the production of an audiobook narrated by Wolf359 alum Emma Sherr-Ziarko. (Those who are familiar with audiobook production know what a huge favor Emma is doing us by helping us produce within this budget!)

Emma recorded a sample chapter of A Sundered Throne, which I've attached here as a video. I'm also including Vidanit's concept artwork, as this chapter is from her point of view!

Again, thank you ALL. This means so much to me!
